TCP/IP (UCX) LPRSETUP printcap symbols?

» close window

The Question is:

I read the FAQ on "TCP/IP (UCX) LPRSETUP printcap symbols?", because that's my
question as well, allthough I am running TCPIP 5.0. Unfortunately the answer
didn't match the questions, which asked for more details then the manual and
 the answer gave to us.
...
Question was (with emphasis on "in full"):

Can you describe in full the usage of the
following parameters available in the
LPRSETUP utility in UCX v4.2. Thanks.

fm (and possible settings)
pa
nd
cr
p1-p8 (when would I use these)

Could you please re-answer the question?
Thnx,
Bob.

The Answer is :

The OpenVMS Wizard sees no OpenVMS FAQ discussions of the topic, and
will assume the reference is to topic (1781) here in Ask The Wizard.

As stated in topic (1781), please see the TCP/IP Services management
documentation on printing for the available documentation on the
printcap file and on the lprsetup tool.

The OpenVMS Wizard has verified that the current TCP/IP Services
documentation includes references to fm, pa, cr, and p1-p8.

The OpenVMS Wizard will replace the (outdated) table contents (from
TCP/IP Services V5.0) in topic (1781) with a reference to the current
  TCP/IP Services documentation.

The OpenVMS FAQ has pointers to the current documentation website.
