The Question is:

 
Docs at your web site indicate that VMS V7.2-6 contains DII COE features which
 are intentially absent from V7.3. When will DII COE features available in new
 releases?
 
(the VMS FAQ is silent in this area)
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  OpenVMS Alpha V7.2-6C1 and V72-6C2 are the present DII COE releases.
 
  Some features of these releases -- including what is known as the
  DII COE kernel -- are specific to DII COE and will remain so.  Other
  features and capabilities of the DII COE releases are of more general
  interest and being integrated into OpenVMS releases -- starting with
  OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-1.  (V7.3-1 contains XQP and C RTL capabilities
  that were derived from the DII COE releases; please see the OpenVMS
  new features manual for details.)  Additional DII COE features are
  expected to be integrated into subsequent OpenVMS Alpha releases.
 
  Without details on the particular DII COE feature(s) of interest, a
