The Question is: 1. In Open VMS TCP/IP configuration, how to configure WAN in a Dual LAN environment? That is, if I want to ping to a remote client on a different network from a server that is configured on Dual LAN? 2. For the above which manuals I have to refer? The Answer is : Please contact the support center, as details on what you mean by Different Network will be required -- if all hosts are part of the IPv4 or IPv6 address space, then IP routing and the local IP routing gateway will allow connectivity to the remote network. Depending on what you mean by Different Network and particularly if there are firewalls involved, you may or may not be able to route ping (ICMP) requests to remote hosts. While an introduction to IP is included in the TCP/IP Services documentation, the OpenVMS Wizard would encourage a review of IP networking terms and technology, and of the IP RFCs, as well as one or more of the available books on IP networking.
