OpenVMS and Windows IP Networking?

» close window

The Question is:

We are using the LAT protocol and WRQ Reflection software to connect our WIN98
machines to the VAX. How do we set up the VAX to use a TCP/IP connection so we
can use our WINXP machines to connect to the VAX?

Thank you!

The Answer is :

At a minimum, IP operations require you to install a TCP/IP stack
on OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2, either TCP/IP Services or a third-party IP
stack. You will then need to configure the IP stack, using the
product-specific mechanism; see the IP stack documentation.

As of this writing, V7.3 is the current OpenVMS VAX release, and
TCP/IP Services V5.3 is the current IP stack version.
