BACKUP, MOUNT, and Unknown Tape Label?

The Question is:

 
I am trying to restore a backup from tape to disk but I am not sure of what the
 label name is. Is there a way I can see what the label is of the tape ?
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  The DCL command MOUNT/FOREIGN will mount the tape, regardless of the
  tape label -- BACKUP itself implicitly uses this mechanism, if you
  allow BACKUP to mount the tape.
 
  If you want to mount the tape directly as a native file system rather
  than as a foreign file system, use MOUNT/OVERRIDE=IDENTIFICATION.
