The Question is:

 
I am trying to spool to a file named 'spool_test.dat;280' from within SQL*Plus
 connecting to Oracle 9.2.0.3 for OpenVMS. The which is eventually created has
 version number 1 (or the maxversion + 1).
 
Can I spool a file from within SQL*Plus with my desired version number?

The Answer is :

 
  The OpenVMS Wizard would encourage contacting the maintainer(s) of the
  packages involved.  OpenVMS can certainly provide this spooling via
  direct operations with the target spooled device, which would imply
  that the difficulties here would involve the SQL*Plus and/or Oracle
  software packages.  Accordingly, please directly contact the support
