Suppressing DCPS Print Banner?

» close window

The Question is:

I am trying to suppress the banner page using a lpd print queue. I have the
 following logical:

show log TCPIP$TELNETSYM_SUPPRESS_FORMFEEDS
   "TCPIP$TELNETSYM_SUPPRESS_FORMFEEDS" = "34" (LNM$SYSTEM_TABLE)

Yet, I keep getting banner pages on some, but not all my printers. These are
 the Decprint Supervisor banner pages.

Is there another area I need to look at? I have checked the initialize
commands for the queus and they are all the same, except of course the name
 and ip address.

Thank you!

The Answer is :

The banner is generally generated by the target system, of course.

Ensure the print symbionts have been restarted, as an initial step,
and ensure you have current DECprint Services (DCPS) software loaded
and running on the various system(s) involved.

Additional and potentially semi-related information on configuring
printers is available in various topics referenced in topic (1020),
and -- in this case -- topic (2507).

A second banner can be generated by specific printers, see the
  information in topic (5061).
