DIAGNOSE Privilege (Objects)

The DIAGNOSE privilege lets a process run online diagnosticprograms and intercept and copy all messages written to the errorlog file.

The DIAGNOSE privilege also lets a process perform the followingtasks:

Issue a $QIOrequest with associated diagnostic buffer
$QIO

Modify thenumber of interlocked queue retries
$QIO request to an Ethernet802 driver (DEBNA/NI)

Set the spin-waittime on the port command register
$QIO request to an Ethernet802 driver (DEBNA)

Access theDiagnostic and Utilities Protocol (DUP) class driver
$QIO request to the DUPclass driver used by SET HOST/HSC (FYDRIVER)

Execute a specialpassthrough function in the SCSI generic class driver
