» Download GnuPG V1.4-7 for OpenVMS for Integrity servers and OpenVMS Alpha   (December 2007)
» Download GnuPG V1.2-3 for OpenVMS VAX   (November 2003)

HP OpenVMS Engineering is pleased to provide you with an updated kit of the open source project GnuPG, ported to OpenVMS for Integrity servers and OpenVMS Alpha. GnuPG for OpenVMS VAX is also available.

GnuPG (GNU Privacy Guard) is GNU's tool for secure communication and data storage. It can be used to encrypt data and to create digital signatures. GnuPG includes an advanced key management facility.

See http://www.gnupg.org/  for more information about GnuPG.

GnuPG is a complete and free replacement for PGP. Because it does not use the patented IDEA algorithm, it can be used without any restrictions. GnuPG is a RFC 2440 (OpenPGP) compliant application.

GnuPG is Free Software. It can be freely used, modified, and distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

PGP, on which OpenPGP is based, was originally developed by Philip Zimmermann. See his page for background information on PGP.
