HP Global Workload Manager Agent Version 4.1 OpenVMS on HP Integrity Systems

HP Global Workload Manager (gWLM) Version 4.1 is now available for download.

The gWLM product is available on HP-UX 11i and OpenVMS. This commonality enables smooth operations in multi-OS environments that use HP-UX in addition to OpenVMS. It ensures that the management procedures and technology are the same on all systems.

Starting with OpenVMS V8.4, gWLM is also licensed as a component of High Availability Operating Environment (HA-OE).
gWLM provides the following benefits:
  • gWLM is a lower cost solution than purchasing additional CPUs to satisfy increasing workload demands.
  • As workloads grow, gWLM controls the costs of escalating hardware maintenance, service, operating system software, floor space, electricity, and air conditioning.
  • gWLM reduces lifetime third-party software costs because CPU count is kept to a minimum.
gWLM for OpenVMS enables:
  • Potentially greatly improved utilization of Integrity or CPUs across multiple work streams
  • Automatic CPU resource allocation to satisfy service level agreements of multiple business units, based on policies defined by Information Systems (IS) management
  • Intuitive management through a graphical user interface (GUI) that includes comprehensive reporting tools
