Reliable Transaction Router (RTR) is software-fault-tolerant transactional messaging middleware for widely distributed client/server applications. RTR:
- Creates a 24 x 365, continuously available infrastructure for applications where downtime, lost data, or slow response time must be avoided or business and customer satisfaction will be adversely impacted
- Provides continuous availability, transaction integrity, and scalable performance across widely distributed, multivendor systems
- Detects failures in the distributed environment and provides transparent failover and transaction integrity -- Applications are insulated from the underlying network configuration complexity
- Provides protection against multiple points of failure in a distributed environment, including application, network, system and site failures
RTR is used today in financial exchanges, Internet banking and brokerage, electronic payment systems, trading and risk management systems, global customer information files, reservation systems and intelligent network systems.
