An implementation of RAID Level 1 technology, HP Volume Shadowing for OpenVMS maintains high data availability by preventing data loss from media deterioration, or through failure of other devices and interconnects.
The result?
Your staff stays productive with continuous access to the data it needs. Volume Shadowing records data on multiple local and remote volumes, up to 150 miles apart in a T3 cluster. Your OpenVMS system disk itself can be shadowed, and 24 x 7 x 52 datacenter uptime is supported. Traditional and per-disk licenses (using a Concurrent Use license type) are available on the VAX and Alpha platforms.
