Memory Utilization on Intel and Alpha SystemsTo improve performance on Intel and Alpha systems running the Access Server Gateway, follow the virtual memory utilization recommendations in this section. Using these as minimum values may help you avoid sluggish performance of your network. You need at least 20 MB of RAM and 30 MB of hard disk space to install and run the Windows NT Server, the SNA Server, and the Access Server. Table 5-2 shows virtual memory utilization of the Access Server Gateway components and sample configurations on Alpha systems. All values are approximate.
