Chapter 2: Understanding the Migration Process

Summarizes the steps in the migration process and the situations that need to be addressed. Briefly describes the effects and consequences of migration.

Chapter 3: Planning the Migration

Details all planning steps, starting with an audit of the current system and gateway configuration; discusses choices and options you need to make; explores possible migration strategies; shows you how to map an existing DECnet SNA Gateway configuration to the Access Server Gateway configuration. Helps you plan for an orderly transition from DECnet SNA Gateway to the Access Server Gateway.

Chapter 4: Migrating to the Access Server Gateway

Details all implementation steps, including how to configure Microsoft SNA Server; how to configure the Access Server; testing the Access Server Gateway; and dismantling the DECnet SNA Gateway, when required.

Chapter 5: Managing the Access Server Gateway
