Hardware RAID5 on CMD controller

The Question is:

I have a VAX 6420 with a CMD BI-SCSI controller. I'm looking for a
Storageworksbox that has onboard RAID capability, RAID5 preferably.
I believe that there used to be a RAID ARRAY 110 that did this but
all of the RAID boxes currently on your Web pages seem to require
a host based controller. Is this true, or is there still a RAID array
out there that has the RAID controller as part of the Storageworks
box?

The Answer is:

You can either have RAID5 in software or hardware. I order to have it
in hardware, you need to have a controller / adapter that can perform
RAID5. You already have an adaptor, so the only thing you could use
would be a controller. Assuming your CMD adapter supports it, any HSZ
product with RAID5 would do what you want.
