Ask the Wizard Questions

Storage: New disks

The Question is:

I am planing to expand disk capacity
                     (RZ28 2.1gb disk ) on a 3100-80 running VMS 5.5
                     (RF362 3.5gb disk ) on a 4000-500 cluster running 5.5-2
                     (RZ28 2.1gb disk ) on a 4000-90 VMS 5.5-2

I was just wondering if these disks are compatable with my version of VMS ?

Thanks

The Answer is:

> (RZ28 2.1gb disk ) on a 3100-80 running VMS 5.5

It should be fine, but VMS does not support the RZ28 as a system
disk in V5.5. I would recommand updating to at least V5.5-2.

> (RF362 3.5gb disk ) on a 4000-500 cluster running 5.5-2

I am not sure what you mean RF362, I suspect you mean 2 RF36. They
        are fine.

> (RZ28 2.1gb disk ) on a 4000-90 VMS 5.5-2

    	No problem!
