Ask the Wizard Questions

ECU 1.8 in V7.0 kit?

The Question is:

This is not a wizards question - but I figured you could
forward this to whoever would be interested.

I received the alpha vms 7.0 kit this week. In it the
cover letter refers to the 1.8 ECU diskette that is part
of the package. Problem is: the part listing does not
list this diskette and indeed the diskette was not
physically present in the kit.

This is not an immediate problem for me and it seems
likely to me that the kit makers are aware of this problem
but I thought I'd send this anyway.

The Answer is:

The problem is that the cover letter is generic for both new and existing
customers. Existing customers receiving an update kit didn't get the ECU
disk because the same version was included in an earlier distribution.

We realize this is confusing and hope to be clearer in future versions.
