Ask the Wizard Questions

RDB shutdown

The Question is:

In our shutdown procedure, we have added in the
command procedure to shutdown the rdb monitor. This
procedure up examination has the command to do a
$ RMUF/STOP MONITOR/WAIT. Now the problem with this is that
it waits until all processes on the databasase gets off.
We run a automatic reboot and this reboot gets stuck when
ever it reaches this point and delays the reboot. Is it
possible to replace that command with something like
RMUF/STOP MONITOR/DELPRC or RMUF/STOP MONITOR/FORCE. Which
of the two commands do you recommend. If I did a force on
the database, will the database do the rollback there and
then or does it wait until the system has rebooted and come up.
I would appreciate if you could help me in this problem
Thanks a lot for your help.

Kind regards
