Ask the Wizard Questions

Drivers for MC Ethernet adapter

The Question is:

I am under the impression that i am asking this question in the wrong place, but what the hack...

I have an old IBM model 80 with MCA architecture. Now i just bought an Digital MCA ethernet card. This card however is second-hand and came without drivers.

My question to you: can you get me technical information and possibly drivers for this card?

As said, it is an MCA card. There are a number of codes on the card: Barcode: *TA24100096*; 5019578-01 C01 L4 SIDE 2.

I'd be very happy to receive any information what soever..

The Answer is:

You are correct that this is not a subject intended for this forum, but we wizards have an awesome responsibility and thus we will not send you away empty-handed.

Please direct your web browser to

http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/adapters/html/products/ethernet.htm

and select the entry for "EtherWORKS 2 Adapters". You have either a DE210 or a DE212 - manuals and drivers for both can be found through the web server.
